Users have reported that the Blue Soleil Bluetooth driver installed on the Q1 works for a while and then after receiving a pre-set number of Kilobytes of data pops up a message that says it is running in trial mode and that it needs to be registered. The user is then forced to re-link to the bluetooth devices. We have confirmed that this does not affect ALL Samsung Q1-EX models we've sold, only some of them. The root cause of this problem appears to be a mistake that Samsung has made in the bluetooth driver installation on some of the tablets we've sold since April 2009.
If you have an xSST and have ever seen a pop up message telling you that the Bluetooth driver software is not properly installed, please download and install the fix patch here. After installing the patch which activates the Microsoft Bluetooth stack, restart the Tablet PC.
Before the next flight, Bluetooth shortcuts to the GPS and/or WX Worx box must be recreated. The Bluetooth Quicklink Guide .PDF will step you through this process and can be seen online here.
