If you have Anywhere Map WX running with XM radio and you are not getting NEXRAD radar images on the ipaq or it constently says WX: n/a in the top left corner you should do the following with version 1.6x.
First, click on view>views and see what view is checked. If the Weahter View is not checked you should check it, This is normally view 5. Next click on file>settings>wx settings>XM WX settings. In this page, make sure you have the XM software Activation code filled in. It should be gray and non changable. Also make sure you have enabled checked, and it should be set to serial cable on com 1. If all of these settings are ok click done on that page. This will take you back to WX settings. Check and make sure that you have Nexrad, Metars, TAFS, etc checked. You should also check XM signal Q. This will let you know when you get back to the map if the XM receiver is getting a signal. If you have to check off any of the boxes to display the features in the WX settings, you should next click close to exit the window. To save these settings for this view so that it will display these features each time you are in the Weather view, you will need to click on file>display features>views and click save view. Once you have done this you should click file>exit to close anywheremap and perminately save the change you made.
Next you can open Anywhere Map again, and it should automatically start downloading WX and display it in the weather view. If it is working properly, you should see a message in the top left corner that will cycle between good and WX: n/a and then will show WX: X M where the X is the number of minutes old the weather is. Then the weather will display on the map.
Once you have it connected it can take 5-15 min to download the first NEXRAD image and show the time. This depends on the time it takes to get the first download and initialize the XM box.
